Just today at SnB I finished another spiral baby blanket. It is a variegated cotton yarn in white/blue/purple/green but my flickr sight says that I'm over my limit for uploading. So as much as I'd like the pictures will have to wait. For those of you who were at SnB today you may have heard me mention the ugliest ski masks ever created so I've added the link to the side of my page so check it out.

MomSweater
My mother modeling the Sack Sweater I made for her. Sadly in Texas cold weather is something the pops it’s head in rarely during winter so it does not get much use. This picture was taken in South Texas during June. Thankfully no one was harmed from heat stroke to take this photo.
Armwarmers
I made these arm warmers based on the pattern for “Voodoo wrist warmers” on Chicknits.com but instead of doing the button hole opening I did a thumb gusset. Before anybody asks, those are indeed my own home-grown claws. You never know when you’ll need to scratch out an eye or two. The really scary part? I just filed those babies down to keep them shorter.

Pinwheel
I finished this object with record speed which is quite unusual for me. Most of the time a WIP festers on top of my knitting stash until I frog it and start a new object.
I first saw this project on the Knitty picture gallery and was so inspired that I just had to do it. Luckily I already had a minor stash of baby friendly yarn at the ready so I didn't have to buy anything. The pattern can be found atSpiral Pattern
I did mess up a bit at the start on double pointed needles but did not notice until I was pretty far into it. That is why one of the sections looks like it has some loose gaps.

Felted1
My first felted bag and it came out quite nicely. If your reading this Mom just ignore it and pretend you've never seen this bag. It will probably be yours very shortly. Loud and flashy, just like you like 'em. The measurements after felting were 12.5 inches wide and 10 inches long. I knew it was a good idea to hold onto that accounting textbook, see how nicely it shaped my bag?
Closeup of Bag
A more detailed picture of the yarn I used. I got it at Jo-Ann's and it is called "Sensations: Licorice" in purple. It was a thick/thin 100 % wool yarn made of 2 strands: 1 purple and 1 yellow/orange/pink/brown.
Pre Felted Bag
This is my first foray into the magical world of felting an object, at least on purpose. The sad incident with a cardigan back in junior high was technically the first. This bag had a width of 14 inches and length of 13 pre-felting. I threw caution into the wind and did not do a test swatch. Why? Cause I like a surprise.
